Note 01
The site falls eleven metres across forty. The brief was a single-occupant working studio — painting, writing, reading — with sleeping accommodation for one guest.
Plate 02 — Courtyard at dawn
Note 02
We split the program into four discrete volumes, each oriented to a single view: south to the lake, west to the ridge, north to the forest, east to the entry road. The volumes are joined only by an open courtyard, which serves as the building's actual circulation.
Plate 03 — Board-formed concrete — interior
Note 03
Construction is board-formed concrete throughout. Roofs are inverted, channelling rain into a central cistern that feeds the site's only sink.
